Troy Jensen – Church Elder
Troy grew up in the church of Christ in Iowa where he met his wife, Jean. They were married in Iowa in 1982. They moved their family to Milwaukee and became members of Southside in 1998. Troy was added as one of our elders in January of 2014.
Troy and Jean have 2 children and 2 granddaughters. In his spare time, Troy enjoys rebuilding old cars, remodeling and playing with his granddaughters.
Kenneth Koch – Church Elder
Ken and his family have been attending Southside since 2010. He and his wife have been blessed with five children and ten grandchildren. His hobbies include almost anything outside. He particularly enjoys running and has been fortunate to participate in three Boston Marathons.
Ken says it has been such an honor to serve at Southside. “I love the fellowship and the passion this congregation has for the Word of God.”
Patrick Bowman – Minister
Originally from Louisiana, Patrick and his wife, April, began attending Southside in the Summer of 2017. Patrick developed a passion for God and His Word and became a Christian at the age of 14. This passion intensified after completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Louisiana, Lafayette, in Exercise Science. His keen interest in defending the faith led him to pursue a Master of Divinity in Apologetics from New Orleans Baptist Seminary, after which he earned two degrees—a Master of Arts and Master of Theology—from St. Vladimir’s Seminary. Currently, he is working towards a doctorate in Historical Theology at Marquette University.
Patrick began preaching at Southside in September 2021, approximately one year after the birth of his daughter, Rhiley, a momma’s girl with daddy’s eyes. He enjoys reading (journals, classics, theology), date nights with April and watching Cocomelon with Rhiley. He is delighted to be a member of the Southside team.
Kevin Morrill – Youth & Family Minister
Kevin Morrill and his wife, Allison, moved their family to Milwaukee in July of 2016 so that he could begin work as Southside’s Director of Family Life Ministries. Prior to moving to Milwaukee Kevin and his family served as missionaries in Korca, Albania. In Korca Kevin helped to form a ministry to the blind community. Kevin also mentored and encouraged people of all ages as they sought to create or grow their connections with Christ Jesus.
Kevin and Allison graduated from York Christian College, in York, Nebraska, in 2002 with degrees in Secondary English Education. Since graduating they have spent ten years (2002-2005 and 2007 to 2014) working as a missionary in several cities in Albania. During a two-year break from missions (’05-’07) Kevin worked as an educator with Epworth Village in York, Nebraska as well as the Assistant Wrestling Coach for York College. Upon their return to the United States in 2014 Kevin once again went to work for Epworth Village, this time as a Family Partner (teaching various parenting and life skills to families under the supervision of Health and Human Services or Probation Department).
Kevin and his wife, Allison, were married in Pewaukee, WI on July 15, 2000. The Morrills have three young children Michael, Abigail, and William.
Laurie Giombi – Church Administrator
Laurie has served as the Office Administrator since 2000. She and her husband Danny have been part of Southside since 1986 and have raised all three of their children in the church. They have been blessed with three children and 3 grandchildren. (so far)
Laurie considers everyone at Southside as her family and together with Danny serves the family in multiple areas of ministry.
