CARING MINISTRY
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35
The purpose of the Caring Ministry at Southside Church is to provide love and encouragement to those within our congregation who are experiencing spiritual, physical, or emotional struggles in life. We also reach out to our visitors, sharing God’s love, welcoming them and hoping to connect with them.
The ministry reaches out to others using phone calls, visits, the sending of cards, meals, prayers, and words of encouragement.
Many who have been encouraged by this ministry later join in to reach out to other people who are in need. It is a great example of Christ’s love spreading through His people.
For Christ’s love compels us….
