Please pick up a communion pack when coming into the auditorium if you will be joining with the Lord’s Supper.

Sunday morning Bible class is currently studying Woman’s Roles in the Church.  Wednesday evening Bible class is in Revelation.

Next week, we are planning to collect nonperishable food items for the First Sunday First Fruits program.  The food will be shared with those in need.  Please see Danny Giombi for details.

The Baby Welcome potluck for Fernanda and Elmer has been postponed due to cold.  The are registered at Walmart.

Special Events

Sunday Night Live for the Youth is planned for February 15.

The annual WCYC dinner and auction is planned for Saturday February 21 at 5:30 pm.  Donations of new or handcrafted items are needed.

The Brentwood church is planning a United Ladies Day Tea for February 21 from noon to 3.

The “Be Safe of Scams” presentation has been rescheduled to Saturday February 28 at: 9:45 am (Hosted by Club 55).

Regular Events

The Thursday Morning Ladies Study meets Thursdays at 9:30 AM in the fellowship hall with a light breakfast and class promptly at 10 AM.  The study is on 1, 2 and 3 John using a book titled “Abide”.  See Peggy or Allison for details.  A period of stretching and chair yoga is planned after class.

Color More Worry Less” is planned Thursdays at 6:30 p.m., resuming January 8.  Please see Christine Saunders for details.

Mid-week study at the building, Wednesday, 7 pm.,  A Zoom virtual meeting is also set up.

A time of prayer is planned for the second Tuesday of each month at the building, 7:00 p.m., and after morning worship on the first Sunday of each month.

The First Tuesday Men’s Fellowship and Study Group is planned for the first Tuesday of each month (Sept.-June), 6:30 pm, at the building with food.  Dan Giombi has details.

The Christian Workers’ Meeting is planned for the third Tuesday of each month, 9:30 a.m. October through May.

Opportunities

Elizabeth Barrera is supporting a Christian adoption organization called Sacred Selections by collecting clean metal that can be recycled.  Collection details are to be determined.

A Red Cross blood drive at Southside is planned for Friday February 6 from noon to 5.  Browse to redcrossblood.org or call 800-733-2767 to make an appointment.

You can support Schultz Lewis Child and Family Services when using “Box Top$ for Education” products when purchased and you scan your receipt with your smart phone using the Box Tops mobile app.

Reminders

When planning events, don’t forget to check the calendar in the back hallway by room 9 for conflicts and enter your own events.  This is for events that involve use of the building and/or for a majority of the congregation.

If you know someone who is getting married or having a baby, please let Sarah Borges, Lisa Bane (English/Spanish), or Rosio Gamino (English/Spanish) know.  Southside arranges a gift for first-time couples who are members of the Church and for the first child of members of the Church.
