Sunday morning Bible class is currently studying How Do We Read the Bible. Wednesday evening Bible class is in Revelation.
Please pick up a communion pack when coming into the auditorium if you will be joining with the Lord’s Supper. The communion packs are located in baskets along with small plastic bags in both foyers. The tables setup for this purpose has been eliminated.
Remember our mid-week bible study on Wednesdays at 7 PM.
Today is First Sunday First Fruits. Tables are in room 4 for food items.
Special Events
A School Days Memories activity is being planned by Club 55 on Saturday, September 20th at 11:30 AM at the building. Share your great school days memories. See the Club 55 bulletin board to sign up or for more details.
Midwest Preachers Retreat will be Sept 22-24 at Wisconsin Christian Youth Camp in Black River Falls, WI. See www.midwestpreachersretreat.com for more details.
Fond Du Lac Church of Christ Fellowship Picnic will be September 27th at Noon.
The Annual Give Away is October 4th, 2025 from 9 AM until 2 PM. Items can be put in room 6. (The room in the upstairs hallway nearest the parking lot entrances.) Items should be clean, not broken or in need of any repair. We cannot accept car seats or medications. Volunteer signup sheets are posted on the bulletin boards. Giveaway prep will begin Monday (9/29). This is a huge community outreach!
Trunk Or Treat is being planned for Saturday, October 11th, 2025. Setup starts at 1 PM, the event from 3 until 5 PM and cleanup until done. This is a significant community outreach for Southside. With rain in 2024 the community packed our building. See Kevin Morrill for details and signup.
The Wisconsin Christian Youth Camp Annual Meeting will be held at Southside on Saturday, October 18th.
Men’s Sheepshead & Game Night on Friday, October 24th at 6 PM at the building. Contact Brad Stanger or Wayne Alexander with any questions.
Regular Events
“Color More Worry Less” is planned Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. Please see Christine Saunders for details.
Mid-week study at the building, Wednesday, 7 pm. A Zoom virtual meeting is also set up.
A time of prayer is planned the second Tuesday at 7 PM each month at the building and after morning worship the first Sunday of each month.
Men’s Fellowship & Bible Study Group is the first Tuesday at 6:30 PM.
Thursday Morning Ladies Bible Study resumes Thursday, September 18th at 9:30 AM with a light breakfast and class promptly at 10 AM. The study will be 1, 2 and 3 John using a book titled “Abide”. See Peggy or Allison for details
Christian Workers Meeting is the third Tuesday at 9AM Oct through May.
Opportunities
The next Red Cross blood drive at Southside is planned for Friday, October 17th from noon to 5. Browse to redcrossblood.org or call 800-733-2767 to make an appointment. Additional help is needed for the periodic Red Cross Blood Drives for things like checking people in. See Wayne Alexander if you are interested.
There is a sign-up sheet on the Club 55 bulletin board for those interested in packing Stock Boxes for the Hunger Task Force. A specific date is not yet selected but we need to find out how many are available on a weekday.
Funds are being raised from “Box Top$ for Education” products when purchased and you scan your receipt with your smart phone using the Box Tops mobile app.

When planning events, don’t forget to check the calendar in the back hallway by room 9 for conflicts and enter your own events. This is for events that involve use of the building and/or for a majority of the congregation.
If you know someone who is getting married or having a baby, please let Sarah Borges, Lisa Bane (English/Spanish), or Rosio Gamino (English/Spanish) know. Southside arranges a gift for first-time couples who are members of the Church and for the first child of members of the Church.
