Sunday Hand Out Information 12-13-20

Dec 13, 2020

Lesson: “Deliverance and Devotion”  Speaker: Jeff Hill

Scripture: Judges 10:6-16

This week

The Christian Workers’ Meeting is held at Southside, in person on the third Tuesday of each month, 9:30 a.m. October through May. There is also a Zoom video link for those who wish to join virtually.

Sunday morning Class and our Worship are once again being held in person in addition to being live-streamed. The number of those attending in person is well below the maximum number allowed by the city of Milwaukee for a building our size so you are welcome to join us. Masks are required indoors. As you enter the building please use hand sanitizer and pick up communion items before you go to your seat.  Families are spaced apart, there are no shared or passed materials, singing is recorded (you are welcome to hum along) and everyone is asked to exit the building once worship is finished.  Of course, if you are ill or have had recent contact with someone who is ill, please stay home. Evening worship is not being held at this time.

Events
Masks and other precautions are required for all events.

A special One Long Night service for the grieving is planned for December 21 from 7 to 8 p.m. This is open to the public as well.

Wednesday night Bible class at the building – 7 pm. A Study in the book of Psalms.  Also available as a Zoom meeting. (Due to the holidays, there will be no class on December 23rd or December 30th)

Prayer Meeting first Sunday of month after worship. (January 3)

First Tuesday Men’s Fellowship and Bible Study group  – January 5, 7:00 pm (no food will be served)

Second Tuesday Hour of  Prayer meeting – January 12, 7 pm

The Christian Workers’ Meeting is planned for the third Tuesday of each month, 9:30 a.m. October through May. January 19.

The Fireside Theatre has decided to postpone the performance of Holiday Inn a year.  We are holding seats and reservations for December 11, 2021.  Please contact Sandie Copass to discuss.

Opportunities

Jeff Hill is looking for people to lead grief support groups over 13-week meetings.  Material is provided and support is available.

A phone call is a wonderfully personal way to connect with someone. The longer we are kept physically separated the more a friendly voice on the phone is appreciated.
