The Christian Workers’ Meeting is planned for the third Tuesday of each month, 9:30 a.m. October through May with a Zoom video link. The planned series are from the Proverbs.
Please pick up a communion pack when coming into the auditorium if you will be joining with the Lord’s Supper.
Sunday morning Bible class is currently studying How Do We Read the Bible. Wednesday evening Bible class is in Revelation.
A Blue Christmas/Longest Night Service is planned for Wednesday December 17, 7 pm.
The Hampton Ave Church is planning a Hype Holiday Youth Event on Saturday December 20 from noon to 4:00.
Special Events
A New Years Eve Fellowship is planned for Wednesday December 31 at 6 pm.
Southside is planning a Men’s Sheepshead and Game Night on Friday, January 23, 2026, in the church fellowship hall, beginning at 6 pm. Come to play Sheepshead or bring your favorite game. If possible, bring a favorite snack or beverage to share. Contact Brad Stanger or Wayne Alexander with any questions.
A Baby Welcome party for Fernanda and Elmer is planned for Sunday January 25 at 12:15 pm. Please sign up in the hallway if you plan to attend.
The annual WCYC auction is planned for Saturday February 21 at 5:30 pm.
The Brentwood church is planning a United Ladies Day Tea for February 21 from noon to 3.
Regular Events
The Thursday Morning Ladies Study meets Thursdays at 9:30 AM in room 9 with a light breakfast and class beginning at 10:00 AM. The study is on 1, 2 and 3 John using a book titled “Abide”. See Peggy or Allison for details. A period of stretching and chair yoga is planned after class.
“Color More Worry Less” is planned Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. Please see Christine Saunders for details.
Mid-week study at the building, Wednesday, 7 pm. A Zoom virtual meeting is also set up.
A time of prayer is planned for the second Tuesday of each month at the building, 7:00 p.m., and after morning worship on the first Sunday of each month.
The First Tuesday Men’s Fellowship and Study Group is planned for the first Tuesday of each month (Sept.-June), 6:30 pm, at the building with food. Dan Giombi has details.
Opportunities
The 2026 Southside budget has been completed. A copy is posted on the bulletin board just outside the secretary office. If you have any questions, please talk with Brad Stanger.
You can support Schultz Lewis Child and Family Services when using “Box Top$ for Education” products when purchased and you scan your receipt with your smart phone using the Box Tops mobile app.
Additional help is needed for the periodic Red Cross Blood Drives for things like checking people in. See Wayne Alexander if you are interested.

When planning events, don’t forget to check the calendar in the back hallway by room 9 for conflicts and enter your own events. This is for events that involve use of the building and/or for a majority of the congregation.
If you know someone who is getting married or having a baby, please let Sarah Borges, Lisa Bane (English/Spanish), or Rosio Gamino (English/Spanish) know. Southside arranges a gift for first-time couples who are members of the Church and for the first child of members of the Church.
