Sunday morning Class and Worship is held in-person as well as live-streamed. Of course, if you are ill or have had recent contact with someone who is ill, please stay home. There is no evening worship at this time.
A singing practice is planned for today after worship.
Southside is planning a Men’s Sheepshead and Game Night on Friday, April 28, 2023, starting 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall. Come to play Sheepshead or bring your favorite game. Bring your favorite snack or beverage to share. Contact Brad Stanger or Wayne Alexander with any questions.

A luncheon in memory of Margaret Franzen’s Dad, Bill Franzen, will be held at the church building on Saturday, April 29, at noon. All are welcome to join this celebration of life. Please see Jean Jensen for what to bring for the luncheon.

Thanks to all of the women who took part in Melissa Segovia Gómez (from our Southside Spanish family) wedding shower and to the team who brought it all together. It was beautiful that we can celebrate this young couple, Melissa and Brian, as they prepare to commit to one another before God.
The annual Mother-Daughter Banquet is planned for Saturday May 6, 2023. Please see Sarah Borges if you would like to help.
We are planning a worship service focused on prayer for May 7 with a suggested daily prayer leading up to it starting April 1.
A Family Art and Craft Fair is planned for Sunday, May 21st after morning service. Setup will be available Saturday, May 20th (time TBA). This is the time to show off the Kids, Grandkids or your own hidden talent. Signup sheets are on a bulletin board outside the kitchen. Table and hanging space will be available. Keith Lancaster of the Praise and Harmony recordings is planning to be here Wednesday June 7, 7 p.m. for a song study class. All area church members are invited.
Fireside matinee outing to Scrooge the Musical is being planned for Saturday, December 9, 2023, arrive 10:30 am. A facilitator is needed to organize this. Contact Sandie Copass if you are interested.
Opportunities
Nate and Christina Baker, of the West Allis church of Christ, lost everything in a fire on March 11 and they had no insurance. They are in need of furniture, toddler items and clothes for three girls ages 4, 2 and 4 months. Jim Nichols is coordinating donations.

Club 55 needs volunteers to coordinate activities in June, August, October and December. Please see Billie Barnes or Scot Cerka if you would like to help.
The Churches of Christ Disaster Response Team, (9285 S. State Route 202, Tipp City, Ohio 45371) is responding to the flooding in Kentucky. Help is needed.
If you have printer cartridges to recycle, a box has been placed where you can put them and support Schultz Lewis Child and Family Services at the same time. Funds are also being raised from “Box Top$ for Education” products when purchased and you scan your receipt with your smart phone using the Box Tops mobile app.

Regular Events
Marie Coffey invites those with a Facebook account to join a Virtual Bible study on Tuesdays at 7 pm. Send a Facebook friend request to Marie and message that you want to join.
The Thursday Morning Ladies’ Bible Class meets at 10 am in the fellowship hall, continuing with the subject Women of the Bible. Please see Peggy Koch or Allison Morrill for details. You are also able to join via Zoom meeting. The link to join is sent out Wednesday night.
Mid-week study at the building, Wednesday, 7 pm, is following the Video Series by John Cooper called “Beyond Reasonable Doubt”. A Zoom virtual meeting is also set up.
The First Tuesday Men’s Fellowship and Study Group is planned for the first Tuesday of each month (Sept.-June), 6:30 pm, at the building with food. Dan Giombi has details. Next meeting is March 7.
A time of prayer is planned for the second Tuesday of each month at the building, 7:00 p.m., and after morning worship on the first Sunday of each month. Next meeting is March 14, 2023.

The library at Southside is being revived! If you have checked out books in the past and they grew legs and ran away, we would appreciate if you could catch them and put them in the library drop box in the foyer by the bulletin boards and tables.
Ken and Troy are looking into setting up an Endowment Fund for Southside based on member suggestions. Please let them know if you have any comments.

The BibleProject has an aid for reading the Bible through in a year called One Story that Leads to Jesus. It includes animated videos to help understand the design and flow of the Bible. It can be accessed at: http://bible.com/r/5nF

There’s a special group of people here at Southside that are ages 55 and older, called Club 55. They hold fellowship events, things for other age groups, and service projects that reach out to Milwaukee and beyond.
