Psalm 32:1-7
Guilt: An internal feeling that we’ve committed wrong, often (but not always) made known to us by our conscience.
Many Christians live with a gnawing sense of guilt, and it continues to remain unresolved, deep within them, although others may not know it. Hear these words from Psalm 32:5: “Then I acknowledged my sins to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, ‘I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.’ And you forgave the guilt of my sin.”
Guilt is good insofar as it makes us aware that we’ve broken a standard and our ongoing need for God. It becomes bad only when we refuse to bring it to the One who can remove it and transform our hearts.
