All Alone – May 22, 2022

Scripture references: Romans 8:35-39; supplemental texts Isaiah 43:1-3; Genesis 39:20-23

Ever been in a room full of people but still felt like no one knew you? Ever struggled with something, thinking you’re the only one who does? Americans in general, not just Christians, have rediscovered the importance of feeling connected over the past few years. God made us for fellowship with Himself and others, which is one reason it’s supremely important to be a part of a local church.

The main text for Sunday, in addition to the suggested supplemental readings (see above), remind us of God’s sustaining presence at all times, even in moments of excruciating suffering. In this lesson, we’ll discover what to do when “darkness veils his lovely face” and we feel “all alone.”
