Please pick up a communion pack when coming into the auditorium if you will be joining with the Lord’s Supper.

Sunday morning Class and Worship is now held in-person as well as live-streamed.  You are welcome to join us!  Masks are optional everywhere except in the fellowship room during worship time.  Of course, if you are ill or have had recent contact with someone who is ill, please stay home.  There is no evening worship at this time.

This is the last day to sign up for the Mother Daughter Banquet if you plan to attend.  Details under Special Events.

Next week, we are planning to collect nonperishable food items for the First Sunday First Fruits program.  The food will be shared with those in need.  Please see Danny Giombi for details.

Special Events

Southside is planning a Men’s Sheepshead and Game Night on Friday, April 29, 2022, 6 pm in the fellowship hall.  Come for Sheepshead or bring your favorite game.  Bring your favorite snack or beverage to share.  Contact Brad Stanger or Wayne Alexander with any questions.

The Mother Daughter Banquet is planned for Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 4:00 pm with the theme “MOTHER’S LOVE IS VINTAGE“.  Please sign up and plan to bring an older item to be appraised with your name and the item history attached (like on antique road show).  See Sandie Copass or Sarah Borgess for details.  If you miss the sign up, please call Sandie or Sarah ASAP.

An outing to the Fireside Dinner Theatre is planned for Saturday December 10.  Cost for dinner and live show is $77.25 which is due by October 30.  The show is White Christmas.  Sign-up is required.

Opportunities

If you have printer cartridges to recycle, a box has been placed where you can put them and support Schultz Lewis Child and Family Services at the same time.  Funds are also being raised from “Box Top$ for Education” products when purchased and you scan your receipt with your smart phone using the Box Tops mobile app.

Regular Events

Wednesday night Bible class at the building – 7 pm. A Study in the book of 1 Timothy as a follow up to the sermon series.  (Also available as a Zoom meeting)

The Thursday morning Ladies Bible Class meets each week at 10 am in the fellowship hall. A one-year devotional using the book, “Women of the Bible” is being used. See Peggy Koch or Allison Morrill for details.

Color More Worry Less” is planned Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. in the fellowship room. Please see Christine Saunders for details.

Second Tuesday Hour of  Prayer meeting – May 10 at 7 pm

The Christian Workers’ Meeting is planned for the third Tuesday of each month, 9:30 a.m. October through May. Next meeting is May 17.

First Tuesday Men’s Fellowship and Bible Study group  meets each month September through June. Next meeting: May 3

A 15 minute prayer meeting is held on the first Sunday of the month in the Fellowship Room 5 minutes after worship. May 1.

Marie Coffey invites those with a Facebook account to join a Virtual Bible study of the book of Hebrews on Tuesdays at 7 pm.  Send a Facebook friend request to Marie and message that you want to join.
