Please pick up a communion pack when coming into the auditorium if you will be joining with the Lord’s Supper.

Sunday morning Class and Worship is now held in-person as well as live-streamed.  You are welcome to join us!  At Southside, we will allow 100% capacity, however the city of Milwaukee requires that a mask be worn while indoors.  Of course, if you are ill or have had recent contact with someone who is ill, please stay home.  There is no evening worship at this time.

Please report any song copies made to Cliff Copass for our periodic CCLI report.  This will continue for the next few months.

The Red Cross is holding a blood donation session at Southside February 25, noon to 5.  If you would like to donate, call 800-733-2767 or redcrossblood.org to make a reservation.

Opportunities

If you have printer cartridges to recycle, a box has been placed where you can put them and support Schultz Lewis Child and Family Services at the same time.  Funds are also being raised from “Box Top$ for Education” products when purchased and you scan your receipt with your smart phone using the Box Tops mobile app.

The Southside e-mail list is an automated mail list used for church related matters such as announcements, prayer requests, and items of interest to the congregation.  If you would like to be added to the e-mail list, contact the church office with your name and e-mail.  Please see Laurie Giombi for details.

Regular Events

Wednesday night Bible class at the building – 7 pm. A Study in the book of 1 Timothy as a follow up to the sermon series.  (Also available as a Zoom meeting)

The Thursday morning Ladies Bible Class meets each week at 10 am in the fellowship hall. A one-year devotional using the book, “Women of the Bible” is being used. See Peggy Koch or Allison Morrill for details.

“Color More Worry Less” is planned Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. in the fellowship room. Please see Christine Saunders for details.

Second Tuesday Hour of  Prayer meeting – March 8 at 7 pm

The Christian Workers’ Meeting is planned for the third Tuesday of each month, 9:30 a.m. October through May. Next meeting is March 21.

First Tuesday Men’s Fellowship and Bible Study group  meets each month September through June. Next meeting: March 1.

A 15 minute prayer meeting is held on the first Sunday of the month in the Fellowship Room 5 minutes after worship. March 6.

Marie Coffey invites those with a Facebook account to join a Virtual Bible study of the book of Hebrews on Tuesdays at 7 pm.  Send a Facebook friend request to Marie and message that you want to join.

There’s a special group of people here at Southside that are ages 55 and older, called Club 55.  They hold fellowship events, things for other age groups, and service projects that reach out to Milwaukee and beyond.  See the Club 55 bulletin board for more information, or contact Linda Stanger at (414) 282-5991 for more information.

Reminders

When planning events, don’t forget to check the calendar in the back hallway by room 9 for conflicts and enter your own events.  This is for events that involve use of the building and/or for a majority of the congregation.
