Today is First Sunday First Fruits. Tables are set up in room 4.
Today, about 5 minutes after the worship, we are planning 15 minutes of prayer in the fellowship room for Southside.
A time of prayer is planned at the building, 7:00 p.m.
Sunday morning Class and Worship is now held in-person as well as live-streamed. You are welcome to join us! At Southside, we will allow 100% capacity without mask requirements in the auditorium but suggest you continue to follow CDC recommendations in regards to vaccinated and unvaccinated people. If you wish to remain masked and distanced from others, the fellowship room is set up to allow this. Please do not enter the fellowship room without a mask. Of course, if you are ill or have had recent contact with someone who is ill, please stay home. There is no evening worship at this time.
Special Events
A Mug and Muffin Fellowship is planned for Sunday November 14 after worship. Please bring a coffee mug to swap (new or used) with your name on the bottom. Coffee and muffins provided. Please see Allison Morrill for details (414-676-2002).
The 2021 Southside Senior Thanksgiving Dinner is planned for Saturday November 20 at noon. Please sign up if you plan to attend or can help. Young people are especially needed for helping.
We are holding a block of seats for the December 11, 2021 matinee at the Fireside Theatre for a performance of Holiday Inn. Please contact Sandie Copass if you would like to join us. A sign-up sheet is posted outside the coat room.
Opportunities
The Churches of Christ Disaster Response Team (DRT) is in IMMEDIATE AND URGENT need for volunteers in Jean LaFitte, Louisiana to gut and clean houses that were flooded.
Regular Events
Wednesday night Bible class at the building – 7 pm. A Study in the book of Psalms. (Also available as a Zoom meeting)
The Thursday morning Ladies Bible Class meets each week at 10 am in the fellowship hall. A one-year devotional using the book, “Women of the Bible” is being used. See Peggy Koch or Allison Morrill for details.
Second Tuesday Hour of Prayer meeting – November 9 at 7 pm
The Christian Workers’ Meeting is planned for the third Tuesday of each month, 9:30 a.m. October through May. Next meeting is November 16.
First Tuesday Men’s Fellowship and Bible Study group meets each month September through June. Next meeting: December 7.
A 15 minute prayer meeting is held on the first Sunday of the month in the Fellowship Room 5 minutes after worship. November 7
