Acts 4:23-31
In preparation for Sunday I invite you to read Acts 4:23-31 (you might want to read Acts 4:1-22 for context as well). Acts 4:23-31 outlines the mission of the church and highlights what the church does when that mission is opposed.
What is Southside’s Vision Statement (hint: see title) and how well does it line up with what’s outlined in Acts 4:23-31? In what ways do our lives indicate we as church members are faithful/unfaithful to this Vision/Mission? What opposition might we experience in attempting to carry out this vision, and what are some right and wrong ways to react to this opposition?
Finally, consider the church’s prayer in 4:24-30. What surprises you about the language used and how the request is made?
