Prayer Requests 04-25-21

“Prayers don’t need to be long or eloquent, they need only come from a sincere and humble heart.”

Our prayers are requested on behalf of those involved in the violence on the north side, the recent mass shootings and for the police. May God grant mercy.

Lift our sister, Maria Hill in prayer for strength and that the side effects of her treatments won’t be too bad or lengthy. Maria, Ben and Kenny all are very grateful for everyone’s prayers and other care shown to them. (She is in the hospital and last week began the process of a bone marrow transplant. Tuesday’s (4/27) part of the treatment is expected to be especially hard and then, while still in the hospital, the next 2 weeks will be challenging as she waits for her white blood count to go back up. The next 100 days after that at home are also critical. She is feeling tired and nauseous but says that she knows that God has carried her though this from the beginning. She continues to take refuge in God as He gives her peace. She asks us to continue to lift Ben and Kenny in our prayers.)

Jettie Carr: “Thank you for all the cards and texts and calls over this healing time for me since last October, much gratitude.”

Marie Coffey is waiting for x-ray results on her right foot. She fell down her basement stairs 3 weeks ago and can’t walk without pain. Prayers of healing and patience for being immobile are needed.

Ossie Melendez is home from the hospital recovering. Please keep him in your prayers as well as Amelia as she tends to his needs.

Leigh Kilsdonk – “I would like prayers for my brother, Cory who got Covid-19 a couple months ago, and hasn’t been able to return to work yet.”

Judy Nowlin asks that we pray for her friend Bev. “She remains in Froedtert Hospital. She is often awake, but cannot speak, swallow, or follow any command. Still breathing on her own, but has a tracheostomy. Medicare will require that she be moved to a long term care facility soon. She needs your prayers to escape this “prison” she is in.”

Laurie & Danny Giombi ask for continued prayers for their next door neighbor, John Lucht. A bone marrow donor was found and he has begun the transplant process. (“He is not a believer but he and his family is thankful when we tell them that we are praying for him. We pray that through this trial God will soften his heart and he will see the hand of God.”)

Matthew brother, Patrick Coffey, is recovering from surgery and is at St Mary’s hospital. He appreciates the prayers and says Thank you very much!

Linda Stanger requests prayers for Barbara, a former co-worker who loves the Lord. “She is in the final days of life on this earth. It is hard for her family, as they will miss her dearly.”

Allison Morrill – “Pray that we will be a good influence on our neighbors, friends and people we interact with.”
