Scripture: Deuteronomy 6:1-12
Speaker: Jeff Hill
Heart disease can be insidious. For some, it may be obvious, but for others is may be a death blow that comes out of the blue, “I thought I was doing all the right things”. Jim Fixx was an early proponent of jogging, believing active people live longer. He died of a heart attack while jogging at the age of 52.
Bob Harper, “Biggest Loser” coach, had a heart attack after completing a Cross Fit workout and survived. Though in excellent shape, if the heart is sick the rest of the body will follow.
God warns the new generation of Israel before they enter into the Promised Land to guard their heart because in so doing they will be choosing life rather than death (Deut 30:19). What will they choose? What will you choose?
