Fear and Frustration/Faith and Fulfillment – 05/03/20

After reading the Galatians passage, read Numbers 11:1-35.  Both address the people of God who have been freed from slavery.  Their forward progress is hindered due to lack of perception.  Both groups are unsure of what the future holds as freed people.  This causes them to look back at the “good old days” with distorted idealism.  What seems to be a universal challenge for humanity in moving ahead to where God is trying to guide us?  What do the passages indicate is lacking when reverting back to the past seems more enticing and satisfying? In what ways do you experience humanity’s challenge replicated in your life?  In what ways do you see yourself overcoming these patterns to live in freedom?
