Scripture: Psalm 27
Speaker: Jeff Hill
From the beginning, God reveals himself to humanity for the sole purpose of existing together. Humanity often responds by moving away from His light into darkness through rebellion. We often choose to stay in darkness because shame causes us to feel unworthy and unlovable. Remarkably and thankfully, God is not much concerned much about our distancing. He pursues us and chooses to live among us so that ultimately we will live with him. Consider: if you lived in splendor, would you choose to live in the squalor others created? Why wouldn’t you? Why did God as the man Jesus?
