We often turn certainty into doubt while trying to turning ambiguity into certainty. In this life, the scenery on the journey will be ever-changing as time marches on. Within the ambiguity of what lies ahead, we seek certainty to calm our fears of not knowing what we will face on our journey. God seeks to remove all doubt about the ultimate destination and how to arrive, yet we doubt God’s certainty. The Psalmist encourages us to focus on certainty so that we will have firm footing to navigate multiple voices in this life that create ambiguity. What you will experience in this life is yet to be determined. What you can expect in the next, God has already determines according to the path you take in this life that either leads away or toward Him.
