Prayer List

At Southside we believe that prayer makes a difference. Please remember the following in your prayers. To have some thing or some one added to the list or to have a prayer request updated, please contact the church office.

 RECENT PRAYER REQUESTS

  • Brad Stanger requests prayers for his niece, Hannah Stanger, who has suffered from disabling migraines for 6 years.

  • Josh Hoeft requests our prayers as he tries to get a fresh start in his life.

  • Barbara Dawson's hip replacement surgery went well and she is home.

  • Brian Williams' mother had shoulder surgery last week Wednesday.

  • Pat Young will have surgery on her leg on Friday, March 12.

  • Scott & Christine Saunders found that they will be having a baby boy. Further tests are scheduled for March 16 on the baby's heart because of concerns the doctor has. The baby is at risk for other birth defects, also.

  • Mark Van Handel has begun receiving chemotherapy treatments for stage 1 T-cell Lymphoma.

  • Michael Shuster's Mother, Alla, is hospitalized and quite ill with multiple serious health problems including a colonitis. 

  • Sue Elias, mother of Aline Sturomski has been having chemo and radiation treatments for the cancer in her spine but is not tolerating it very well. She will possibly have to decide to stop further treatments. 

  • Lisa Gustafson was hospitalized last week with lung problems but has now gone home.

  • Haley Shilts is at home recovering well after spinal fusion surgery recently.

  • Julie Shuster's sister, Jill, has concerns about her pregnancy with her first child.

  • Bud Saris, Jim Nichols brother Mike's Father-In-Law was admitted to Froedtert hospital and is in serious condition with symptoms that may be related the West Nile Virus.

  • Elfreide Wandsnider had knee replacement surgery recently. She is in Manor Park rehab center and will possibly be returning home, soon.

  • Carolyn Jones has returned to St. Luke's hospital with lung cancer and a possible stroke.

ONGOING PRAYER REQUESTS

  • Teresa Mattias has been diagnosed with Thyroid cancer and is receiving treatments in Chicago at a Cancer Treatment Center.

  • Christine and Scott Saunders are expecting their first baby. The pregnancy is considered high risk due to Christine's health.

  • Please pray for all the victims of the earthquake in Haiti.

  • Danny Giombi is experiencing pain due to the auto-immune disease, Polymyalgia Rheumatica.

  • Vicky McCormick, sister of Jan Alexander and Joan Wainscott, is being treated for serious kidney problems.

  • Zak Giemza has developed a hip problem due to the car accident last March.

  • Rachel Orlovsky has been suffering severe headaches since late summer.

  • Tony Bensons' health is very poor.  He is suffering many side effects of the illness.  Please keep him and his family in your prayers.

  • Pat Young's sister, Jannett, will likely need to move to a nursing home. Jannett is the sole care-giver for her two adult mentally handicapped sons, Michael and Brian.

  • Travis McMillion, son of Dana & Debbie who are former member of Southside, is being deployed overseas for six months.

  • All the troops who have been deployed.

  • Please keep in your prayers all the young people, for the many worldly challenges they are faced with.

  • And pray for the Ministers and Elders of Southside as they lead our congregation to a better knowledge of Christ.
