OUR CONDOLENCES
Joyce Raymond, mother of
Joel Ribar, died Saturday. She had been ill, but was recently hospitalized
and death came quickly. Besides Joel, she leaves behind a son and three
daughters. Funeral services are scheduled for Southside Wednesday at noon
preceded by visitation from 10:00 - 12:00, Monroe Hawley, giving the eulogy.
Private family interment.
Robert Shilts, Sr.,
father of Carolyn Buettner, Robert Shilts, Jr., and Tim Shilts, ill of whom
are Southside members, died Sunday morning. Bob had lived with Tim since the
death a year ago of his wife, Ann. Funeral services are Friday at Southside
it 6:00 p.m. preceded by visitation from 4:00 - 5:45 p.m. with Monroe Hawley
speaking. Burial will be Saturday at Lake Hallie, WI.
The Bulletin Board
Summer Youth Intern -
Greg Johnson of Colorado, will be our
summer youth intern. He arrived Saturday and will be staying with the Copass
family during the summer. Welcome Greg!
The annual Mother/Daughter Banquet
last Friday was attended by 88 ladies and girls.
The New Adult Classes began Sunday.
The locations are as follows: Gospel of John, fellowship room; The Minor
Prophets, basement; The Epistles of John, auditorium.
Our Church Picnic will be
Sunday, June 3, after the second worship at the Root River Parkway location
that we have had for several years.
Praise and Palate will be
this Sunday evening at 6:00 o'clock.
Seventeen of our youth and
adults attended the youth rally at the Wisconsin Christian Youth Camp last
weekend.
Picture Taking - We have
a picture board of the families attending Southside that is very helpful in
our getting to know one another. This Sunday, May 20th, Cliff Copass will be
taking pictures in room 9. If your picture is not on the board or if you
would like a new one, come prepared to have your picture taken that day.

Bethany Stanger will
leave soon to go to Sendai, Japan, this summer to participate in a mission
program that uses the Bible as a textbook to teach English. She will be
working with a group of York College graduates working at Sendai.
