The Bulletin Board
Summer Youth Intern - Greg Johnson of Frisco, CO has been chosen to be
our youth intern this summer. We are looking for a place for him to stay
while he is here. If you can help in this, contact Daryl Miller or Bill
Eppler. Greg is a student at York College and will be with us from the
middle of May to the middle of August.
Moved - Karoline Jensen, long-time Southside member, moved last week to
Missoula, Montana, to live with her son, Jake. We will greatly miss her, but
wish her God's blessing in her new home.
Contact us for her address.
Elders' Forum
- This Sunday night at 6:00 o'clock we will have the elders' forum in which
our elders will respond to biblical and moral issues that have been
submitted. If you have a question, put it in the box in the foyer or give to
one of the elders.
The Mother/Daughter Banquet will be Friday, May l1th at 6:30 p.m.
Those who hope to attend should sign-up on the women's bulletin board by
this Sunday, April 29th.
Mail-out Program - Our spring mail-out to the community is just being
mailed to 20,000 area residences. We welcome those who respond to our
invitation.
Men's Retreat - The men's retreat at Camp Matawa last weekend was
attended by fourteen and was a very good retreat.
New Adult Classes -
Three Sunday
morning classes for adults will be offered for the next four months
beginning May 11th. They are: The Gospel of John taught by Bruce
Williams (a continuation of his present class); The Minor Prophets,
Wayne Alexander, teacher; and The Epistles of John, Daryl Miller,
teacher.
New Classroom -
Thanks to some
diligent work by some of our members, we now have a new classroom, B-5, in
the annex basement for the 3rd and 4th grades. This
was formerly a storage room, but with the new outdoor storage building it is
better used for other purposes. By re-arranging the classrooms we plan to
have a separate room for the church library, making it much more useful.
Since the new basement classroom is no longer a storage room, please do
not bring items for storage for the October Give-away until just before the
Giveaway,
The Sick - Ann Tevik
had knee
replacement surgery at Elmbrook Hospital on Monday. She is doing very well
in her recovery.

Address Change - Betty Maleshafske is moving this week.
Contact us for details. Her phone number is
unchanged.
May 8th at 7:00 p.m. will be the last monthly ladies' evening Bible study at
the church building until after summer.
The congregational meeting last Sunday afternoon was attended by 35, smaller
than usual because of the large number of families who were gone over the
weekend. Reports were made relating to many of our activities. Minutes of
the meeting will be posted on the bulletin board.
A
new projector for the auditorium is being installed this week. It
will project much sharper images than what we have previously had and should
be a real asset.
Service trip - Every year our youth accompanied by adults are involved
for a week in a service trip. Last year a group went to the Dominican
Republic. This year the project will involve projects at Fallhall Glen June
26 - July 1. For further information see Daryl Miller.
