Men's Ministries

Southside's men enjoy times together for Bible Study, worship, and fun. Below are listed several of the regularly scheduled men's ministries. For more information please contact the church office.

Men's Study - Every 1st Tuesday evening a men’s study is held at the church building.

Southside's Men's Breakfast - Every march Southside hosts a breakfast for the men all over the area. The breakfast is followed by a time of Bible study and worship.

Southside Men’s Retreat - Usually scheduled in April, the men travel to Camp Matawa near Campbellsport, WI for a Friday evening through Saturday afternoon of Bible Study, song, prayer, and fellowship together.

Camping / Ice Fishing Trip- Each year the men participate in an Overnight Ice Fishing Trip. This takes place on different lakes each year and is coordinated by Bill Eppler or John Dickson. (see below for pictures of 2005 years trip since the 2006 trip was cancelled due to warm weather).

Willy Nilly Golf Outing- Each year a group of men from Southside's get together for golf scramble.

Men's Dinner and Pool Night- On Friday, March 31st, 2006 the men from Southside enjoyed a men's night at Romine's (6125 S 27th St Milwaukee), dinner at 6:00 p.m. with pool around 7:00 p.m. More than 20 men (and young men) enjoyed the fun. Thanks to Brad Stanger for coordinating this.

Men's Annual Fishing Trip- On May 4-7, 2007 the men enjoyed the 2nd Annual Southside Men's Fishing Trip at Wisconsin Christian Youth Camp (near Black River Falls). Those that attended enjoy a time service for the camp, fishing, and fellowship. Below are a few pictures of 2006's trip.

PAST ACTIVITIES

Men's Annual Fishing Trip- On May 5-7, 2006 the 2nd Annual Southside Men's Fishing Trip took place at Wisconsin Christian Youth Camp (near Black River Falls). Those that attended enjoyed a time service, fishing, and fellowship. Below are a few pictures of the trip taken by Brad Stanger.

Men's Recreation Night - On Friday, February 25, twenty-five of the Southside guys enjoyed an evening of food and pool at Romine's. Most of the pictures didn't turn out but below are the three that did. Thanks to Brad Stanger for organizing this.

Camping / Ice Fishing Trip 2005- On Friday, February 18-19 a group of 5 hearty souls from Southside enjoyed a time of camping and fishing on Phantom Lake near Mukwonago, WI. The camp was nicknamed "Camp Stupidity" for obvious reasons and while we didn't catch many fish, we did have a lot of fun. Below are a few pictures of this year's fun. We had trouble getting the camera to work so we only were able to get a few shots taken on Saturday morning when Dana McMillion and Al Gray drove out to visit us. This will definitely take place again next year so make plans to join us.

Camping / Ice Fishing Trip 2004- On Friday, February 6 - Saturday, February 7, 2004 we did the same thing on Long Lake (near Dundee, WI). Below are the pictures of the fun.

Men's Recreation Night - On Friday at 6:00 p.m. the Southside men met at Romine's for a meal and recreation. (Thanks to Ed Dabbs for the pictures).
