A new class plans to start today for young adults through young parents on learning and teaching a Biblical world view. Other adult classes planning to begin today include the book of Isaiah, the Christian Graces and Challenges To Our Faith.
All ladies are invited to the annual Mother – Daughter Banquet planned for Friday May 9 at 6:30 p.m. Daughters are also invited. If you wish to come but have not signed up, please contact Sandie Copass immediately. Payment is also due.
A men’s study series is planned for the first Tuesday of each month at the building at 6:30 p.m. for a meal preceding the study. Please see Dan Giombi for details.
A picture taking session for the picture board is being planned for next Sunday.

Opportunities
John Dickson is looking for some help painting the exterior windows of the older part of the church building. If you can help paint a window, please sign the list posted in the church foyer. You will need to scrape, prime and paint. All supplies will be provided. We would like all the windows painted prior to our 50th Anniversary Celebration on July 12th. This year’s Youth & Family Service Trip dates are August 12-17 when we plan go to WCYC to do service projects. The cost is $30 which includes food, transportation, lodging & a T-shirt. If you plan to attend, please sign the list on the bulletin board in the foyer by April 27. This is not just for youth but for all those interested in serving. (Please note that our goal for next year is to travel to Dominican Republic for the Service Trip.) For more information, please see Daryl Miller.

For Southside’s 50th anniversary, we are creating a photo display of the past 50 years. Do you have any photos to contribute? They can be sent via e-mail to giemzas@sbcglobal.net or given to Julia Hawley, Lisa Gustafson or Glynda Giemza. If you give us a photo you would like returned, please be sure to label it with your name.
Group leaders, please contact the church office to update your current studies on the information Board.
Don’t forget to return any overdue books to the library. There is a book return box located in the entry way next to the picture board.
If you are in the Ladies Secret Pals, don’t forget to remember your pal and to check the drop box and mail box.

Youth Announcements
Southside youth ministry exists to instill FAITH. We will: Form friendships,
Actively serve, Imitate Jesus, Tell others, & Honor God.
Copies of the home page are available on the information table in the foyer (the pink sheet) for all parents of teens or soon-to-be teens. (Homepage is a resource for Group Publications with information about teens & parenting.)
We have some new CD’s in our Youth Music Library. In your Bible class you will receive a list of the new additions. Any teen interested in checking something out should see Daryl Miller.
All teens are invited to attend Soul Quest at York College (June 15- 21). This is a powerful week-long youth rally that will definitely bless you. Registration is $150 before June 1st and $175 after June 1st. You will also need additional money to help with transportation & food coming & going. Those interested in going need to see Daryl Miller by May 28th so that transportation arrangements can be made.
The Spring Youth Rally at WCYC is May 10th – 11th. The cost is $10.00 for lodging & $10.00 for gas. If you would like to go or have any questions see Denise Eppler ASAP.
