– A dinner for couples for couples and is coordinated by . Jim Nichols.

Christian Youth Camp Dinner and Silent Auction
(Feb.)- A
fundraiser for the camp held in the fellowship hall. Wayne Alexander
has coordinated this.
Southside's Men's
Breakfast
(March)- A
Saturday morning breakfast and Bible study for the area men. Bruce
Williams is the coordinator.
Southside Youth
Rally
(March)- A teen rally that starts on Friday and ends on Sunday with a
fellowship meal. The teen’s coordinate this.
Southside Men’s
Retreat
(April)- A Friday
evening through Saturday afternoon men’s event held at Camp Matawa
near Campbellsport, WI. Dale Ketterhagen coordinates this.
Mother-Daughter
Banquet
(May)- A formal
dinner for mothers and daughters at the church building. Julia Hawley
is the coordinator.
Southside Retreat
(May)-
This congregational retreat is held on Memorial Day weekend at Fall
Hall Glen. Wayne Alexander is the coordinator.
Congregational
Picnic
(June)- Following 2nd Worship on the 1st Sunday
in June is our annual congregational picnic at Root River Park. Jim
Nichols coordinates this.
Soul Quest
(June)- A week
long High School camp held at York College. Daryl Miller is the contact
person for this.
Youth Service Trip
(June)-
For the past 2 years the youth have gone on a service trip to
Bloomington, IL where we conducted service projects and a VBS. In 2003
we have been asked to go to the Upper Peninsula to help a congregation
we are financially involved with.
WCYC Camp
Sessions-
Every summer in
June – August are camp sessions for all ages from 11-18 as well as a
family camp. They include 4 two week sessions as well as a 1 week
session of family camp. Southside always sends a large number of youth
to this as well as by helping as staff members.
Labor Day
Encampment
(Sept.) This is am
area-wide retreat held at WCYC for all ages. Wayne Alexander has been
heavily involved with this.
Midwest Preacher's
Retreat
(Sept.)- A retreat held at Fall Hall Glen for area preachers & anyone
else interested. This is attended by men from all over the area and
coordinated by Monroe Hawley along with several others.
Ladies Retreat
(Sept.)- A Friday evening through Saturday afternoon women’s event
held at Camp Matawa near Campbellsport, WI. Cathy Ribar is the
coordinator.
Give-Away
(Oct.)- A free
“rummage”/garage sale. It is done as a community service
in the fellowship hall every October. Denise Eppler coordinates this.
WCYC Annual
Meeting
(Oct.)- This is a
meeting where camp board members are elected. It is held on a Saturday
and held in Madison. Usually Southside has 1 or 2 members on the
board. Tim Shilts and myself are currently on the board (my term is up
in October and I do not plan to run again).
Fallfest
(Oct.)- A
carnival for the younger kids held at the church building. Denise
Eppler coordinates this.
Thanksgiving
Dinner or Senior Banquet
(Nov.) This is a
dinner hosted by the teens for the Seniors of the congregation. Laurie
Giombi is the coordinator.
