WHY WE EXIST

Southside youth ministry exists to instill FAITH. To make this simple to remember be break this down as follows:

F

orm friendships

Being with other Christians and sharing in our mutual love for God.

A

ctively serve

Meeting other’s physical, psychological, or social needs. (This includes people both saved & unsaved.)

I

mitate Jesus

Teaching people to live, think, and act like Jesus.

T

ell others

Sharing what Jesus has done for mankind (God’s plan for salvation) with those that don’t know it.

H

onor God

When love and reverence for God is intentionally and passionately shown.

While many of our activities have multiple purposes, the following are a few examples of this how we try to do each of these things.

F

orm friendships

2nd Friday Youth Fellowship. Every 2nd Friday of the month we get together to do things like play games, watch movies, bowling, scavenger hunts, skating, go to sporting events, etc.

A

ctively serve

Summer Service Trip and Community Service Activities. Each summer for the past 2 years we have traveled to do service projects and help a sister church by holding a week-long Bible classes series (Vacation Bible School). Periodically we also try to do things to serve our community as well.

mitate Jesus

Sunday Morning Bible Classes and Wednesday Night Bible Study. Each Sunday Morning (from 10-11 AM) and Wednesday Night (from 7-8 PM) we meet at the Southside Church building for Bible Study and prayer.

T

ell others

Southside Youth Rally. We try to share God with others at every opportunity we have this a great opportunity we organize to challenge others to grow in their relationship with God. Please note that VISITORS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME TO OUR ACTIVITIES.

H

onor God

Sunday Night Youth Worship. This is a chance for our youth to meet in a small group setting to worship God and give Him the honor he deserves.
