Today is First Sunday First Fruits.  Tables are set up in room 4 for items.

Today, about 5 minutes after the worship, we are planning 15 minutes of prayer in the fellowship room for Southside.

The last First Tuesday Men’s Fellowship and Study Group until September is planned for Tuesday at the building at 6:30 p.m. with food provided.  Please see Dan Giombi for details.

Please pick up a communion pack when coming into the auditorium if you will be joining with the Lord’s Supper.

Sunday morning Bible class is currently studying Luke.  Wednesday evening Bible class is in Revelation.

WCYC is having a Community Day on June 7.

Special Events

Club 55 reminds everyone that just because May is over, it is not too late to invite someone(s) outside your family to dinner similar to the start of the church in Jerusalem.

The Brentwood church is planning their Annual Community Food Give Away, June 13, 2 pm until supplies are gone.

WCYC is scheduling a work-weekend at the camp for June 20-22.  Meals are to be provided from Friday dinner to Sunday breakfast.  See https://www.wcyc.org/workweekend-workretreat

The Brentwood Church is planning a Vacation Bible School for June 23 – 27, 6:30 to 8:30 pm.

The Hampton Ave. church is planning a Young Adult Revival, July 13 – 16 (see flyer on bulletin board).

The Hampton Ave Church of Christ, 5705 W. Hampton Ave, is planning VBS July 21-25 at 6:00 pm (new date)

Southside is planning a Men’s Sheepshead and Game Night, Friday, July 25, 2025, 6pm, in the fellowship hall.  Come to play Sheepshead or bring your favorite game.  If possible, bring a favorite snack or beverage to share.  Contact Brad Stanger or Wayne Alexander with any questions.

The Waukesha Church of Christ, 2816 Madison St. is planning their Kick Start Summer Reading Program and Volunteer Opportunity for July 28 – 31st 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM (apply to help by June 1).

Regular Events

The Thursday Morning Ladies’ Bible Class has closed down for the summer.

Color More Worry Less” is planned Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.  Please see Christine Saunders for details.

Mid-week study at the building, Wednesday, 7 pm.  A Zoom virtual meeting is also set up.

A time of prayer is planned for the second Tuesday of each month at the building, 7:00 p.m., and after morning worship on the first Sunday of each month.

The First Tuesday Men’s Fellowship and Study Group is planned for the first Tuesday of each month (Sept.-June), 6:30 pm, at the building with food.  Dan Giombi has details.

Opportunities

Toni Bully is planning to help with the “For the Children” camp ministry for foster children, and needs sponsors for expenses and camping supplies.  Donations need to be made by June 8.

There is a sign-up sheet on the “Miscellaneous” bulletin board for mowing and trimming dates at the building.  Mower and tools are available at the building.  See Otto Mageland. 414-336-1007 for details.

There is a sign-up sheet on the Club 55 bulletin board for those interested in packing Stock Boxes for the Hunger Task Force.  A specific date is not yet selected but we need to find out how many are available on a weekday.

A Red Cross blood drive at Southside is planned for Friday June 27 from noon to 5.  Browse to redcrossblood.org or call 800-733-2767 to make an appointment.

Anyone interested in joining the team who runs the Sunday morning Live-Stream should contact Kevin for training.

A new Sunday morning class is planned to start June 22 titled “How Do We Read the Bible?”

Due to their increasing number, the Spanish congregation has moved their worship to the main fellowship room and everything previously available there on Sunday has been moved to the small fellowship room where they previously met.

Reminders

When planning events, don’t forget to check the calendar in the back hallway by room 9 for conflicts and enter your own events.  This is for events that involve use of the building and/or for a majority of the congregation.

If you know someone who is getting married or having a baby, please let Sarah Borges, Lisa Bane (English/Spanish), or Rosio Gamino (English/Spanish) know.  Southside arranges a gift for first-time couples who are members of the Church and for the first child of members of the Church.
