Sunday Hand Out Information 11-27-22

Please pick up a communion pack when coming into the auditorium if you will be joining with the Lord’s Supper.

Sunday morning Class and Worship is held in-person as well as live-streamed.  You are welcome to join us!  Masks are optional everywhere except in the fellowship room during worship time.  If you are ill or have had recent contact with someone who is ill, please stay home.  There is no evening worship at this time.

If you bring cookies or treats Sunday morning, please label any likely allergens (usually peanuts or nuts) and show them to Dorothy BEFORE putting them out.

Next week, we are planning to collect nonperishable food items for the First Sunday First Fruits program.  The food will be shared with those in need.  Please see Danny Giombi for details.

Special Events

Club 55 is planning A Family Christmas Fellowship Dinner at the building on Saturday, December 3, Noon to 3.  A Christmas Dinner is planning with spiral sliced Ham, Mashed Potatoes, Sweet Potatoes, Vegetables, Cranberry Sauce, Salad and Dressing, Rolls & Butter and of course Christmas Cookies.  An Ornament Exchange, Christmas Trivia and spending time with “the family” is also included.  Please sign up on the Club 55 Bulletin Board if you plan to attend.

An outing to the Fireside Dinner Theatre is planned for Saturday December 10.  Cost for dinner and live show is $77.25 which is overdue now.  The show is White Christmas.  Sandie Copass is organizing.

A picture day for the picture board is being planned for Sunday January 22.  If your picture is missing or out of date, please consider having a picture made.

The Churches of Christ Disaster Response Team, (9285 S. State Route 202, Tipp City, Ohio 45371) is responding to the flooding in Kentucky.  Help is needed.

If you have printer cartridges to recycle, a box has been placed where you can put them and support Schultz Lewis Child and Family Services at the same time.  Funds are also being raised from “Box Top$ for Education” products when purchased and you scan your receipt with your smart phone using the Box Tops mobile app.

Regular Events

Marie Coffey invites those with a Facebook account to join a Virtual Bible study on Tuesdays at 7 pm.  Send a Facebook friend request to Marie and message that you want to join.

The Thursday Morning Ladies’ Bible Class meets at 10 am in the fellowship hall, continuing with the subject Women of the Bible.  Please see Peggy Koch or Allison Morrill for details.  You are also able to join via Zoom meeting. The link to join is sent out Wednesday night.

Mid-week study at the building, Wednesday, 7 pm, on the gospel of John.  A Zoom virtual meeting is also set up.

The First Tuesday Men’s Fellowship and Study Group is planned for the first Tuesday of each month (Sept.-June), 6:30 pm, at the building with food.  Dan Giombi has details. Next meeting is December 6.

A time of prayer is planned for the second Tuesday of each month at the building, 7:00 p.m., and after morning worship on the first Sunday of each month. Next meeting is November 8.

Jeff Valodine is hosting a weekly study and fellowship group at his downtown home (901 W. Winnebago Street Milwaukee) on Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 8.  See Jeff or call/text 262-825-6919 for details.  Everyone is invited.

There’s a special group of people here at Southside that are ages 55 and older, called Club 55.  They hold fellowship events, things for other age groups, and service projects that reach out to Milwaukee and beyond.  See the Club 55 bulletin board for more information, or contact Scot Cerka at (630) 631-4618 for more information.
