Please pick up a communion pack when coming into the auditorium if you will be joining with the Lord’s Supper.

The Christian Workers’ Meeting, planned each third Tuesday of each month, meets this Tuesday 9:30 a.m. The text for January: I Peter 4. These meetings are held October through May and is also shared through a Zoom video link.

Brad Stanger or Wayne Alexander are planning a Men’s Sheepshead and Game Night, Friday, January 21, 2022; 6 pm in the fellowship hall.  Come for Sheepshead or bring your favorite game.  Bring a snack or beverage to share.  See Brad or Wayne with any questions.  Please sign up at the men’s bulletin board if you plan to attend.

Sunday morning Class and Worship is now held in-person as well as live-streamed.  You are welcome to join us!  At Southside, we will allow 100% capacity without mask requirements in the auditorium but suggest you continue to follow CDC recommendations in regards to vaccinated and unvaccinated people.  If you wish to remain masked and distanced from others, the fellowship room is set up to allow this.  Please do not enter the fellowship room without a mask.  Of course, if you are ill or have had recent contact with someone who is ill, please stay home.  There is no evening worship at this time.

Opportunities

The Red Cross is reporting a major blood shortage.  If you would like to donate right away, call 800-733-2767 or redcrossblood.org.
The next donation date at Southside is scheduled for February 25, noon to 5.

Regular Events

Wednesday night Bible class at the building – 7 pm. A Study in the book of 1 Timothy as a follow up to the sermon series.  (Also available as a Zoom meeting)

The Thursday morning Ladies Bible Class meets each week at 10 am in the fellowship hall. A one-year devotional using the book, “Women of the Bible” is being used. See Peggy Koch or Allison Morrill for details.

Color More Worry Less” is planned Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. in the fellowship room. Please see Christine Saunders for details.

Second Tuesday Hour of  Prayer meeting – February 8 at 7 pm

The Christian Workers’ Meeting is planned for the third Tuesday of each month, 9:30 a.m. October through May. Next meeting is February 15.

First Tuesday Men’s Fellowship and Bible Study group  meets each month September through June. Next meeting: February 1.

A 15 minute prayer meeting is held on the first Sunday of the month in the Fellowship Room 5 minutes after worship. February 6.

Marie Coffey invites those with a Facebook account to join a Virtual Bible study of Daniel on Tuesdays at 7 pm.  Send a Facebook friend request to Marie and message that you want to join.

There’s a special group of people here at Southside that are ages 55 and older, called Club 55.  They hold fellowship events, things for other age groups, and service projects that reach out to Milwaukee and beyond.  See the Club 55 bulletin board for more information, or contact Linda Stanger at (414) 282-5991 for more information.

Reminders

When planning events, don’t forget to check the calendar in the back hallway by room 9 for conflicts and enter your own events.  This is for events that involve use of the building and/or for a majority of the congregation.
