Acts 9:1-18 & I Timothy 1:12-17
The call to preach the gospel is a tremendous privilege!! No one is worthy of such a task, and Paul makes that clear in 1 Timothy 1:12-17. He has a bad past, so bad that he claims to be the “chief of sinners.” But God’s abundant grace and mercy enters the scene, swallows up his past and calls Paul to a transformed present. It’s no wonder he bursts forth in praise in v. 17: “Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.” Sunday we’ll celebrate this great gospel and the awesome God who keeps transforming pasts into a glorious present.
As a call to worship, we’ll sing what may be an unfamiliar song. It’s an echo song, so looking forward to everyone singing out.
