Scripture: Ecclesiastes 9:13- 10:20
Speaker: Jeff Hill
God created the world through wisdom. (Prov 8) It is foolish to try to force the world into being something it was not intended to be. This is the epitome of foolishness.
From the fall to today, we are witnesses of the result of the human wisdom’s attempts to create to ideal world which is actually aligning with Ps 53:1. Actions that demonstrate that people do not believe there is a God. Our actions take what God created – order – and plunge it back into chaos.
Consider the scripture reading and Mose’s song (Deut 31:30 – 32:47) Take time to explore:
1) what leads to being wise or foolish?
2) what can be expected from wise of foolish behavior? that which is wise and that which is foolish.
3) In what ways am I guided by God’s wisdom and/or human foolishness?
