Sunday Hand Out Information 12-27-20

Dec 27, 2020

Lesson: “A Faithful People Seeks the Lord of Grace and Truth”  Speaker: Jeff Valodine

Scripture: Malachi 3:16-4:6

This week

Next week is First Sunday First Fruits when it is designated to collect nonperishable foods items and sanitary supplies to share with those of our congregation who have a need.  Items are accepted any time. Please see Danny Giombi or Jeff Hill for details.

Sunday morning Class and our Worship are once again being held in person in addition to being live-streamed. The number of those attending in person is well below the maximum number allowed by the city of Milwaukee for a building our size so you are welcome to join us. Masks are required indoors. As you enter the building please use hand sanitizer and pick up communion items before you go to your seat.  Families are spaced apart, there are no shared or passed materials, singing is recorded (you are welcome to hum along) and everyone is asked to exit the building once worship is finished.  Of course, if you are ill or have had recent contact with someone who is ill, please stay home. Evening worship is not being held at this time.

The Wednesday evening Bible Class that meets at the building will not meet this week due to the holidays. The next meeting is January 6th at 7:00 pm. The book of Psalms is what is currently being studied.

Events
Masks and other precautions are required for all events.

Opportunities

Jeff Hill is looking for people to lead grief support groups over 13-week meetings.  Material is provided and support is available.

A phone call is a wonderfully personal way to connect with someone. The longer we are kept physically separated the more a friendly voice on the phone is appreciated.

The Southside e-mail list is being sent through a new provider and the old yahoo groups is discontinued.  If you have not been added to Google-groups and would like to be, contact the church office with your name and e-mail.  This automated mail list is used for church related matters such as general announcements, prayer requests, the bulletin, and other items of interest to the congregation.  Please see Laurie Giombi for details.

When planning events, don’t forget to check the calendar in the back hallway by room 9 for conflicts and enter your own events.  This is for events that involve use of the building and/or for a majority of the congregation.

In order to allow an uninterrupted  live-stream of our worship, please do NOT connect any devices to the church Wi-Fi until the worship period is completely over.  Airplane mode for devices is recommended.
