Trusted Words That Lead To Worship – 11/22/20

Scripture: Judges 7:12-18

Speaker:  Jeff Hill

Jesus teaches his followers to pray, “your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as in heaven” (Matt 6:10).  For this to be accomplished, we must consider the whole prayer.  Willing followers must first Set Him Apart in their live by trusting His word regarding 1) providence “giving us our daily bread” and  2) deliverance from our rebellion and evil’s trap through Jesus’ self-sacrifice.   Our worshipful response is to daily make God number one in our lives and to forgive others because of God’s gracious act of forgiving us who don’t deserve such love. So how are you doing with that?

Read through the second act of Gideon’s story in Judges 6:33 thru 7:25.  How is Gideon challenged to trust?  When is his fear turned to faith? How do the action of God and the faithfulness of His people deliver them from evil?
