Scripture: Isaiah 6:1-9
Speaker: Jeff Valodine
Socrates has said “The un-examined life is not worth living.” He apparently uttered this statement after he was charged with impiety and sentenced to death. It relates to his understanding and attitude towards death and his commitment to fulfill his goal in life. We too have a similar charge before us to not only be reconciled to God (2 Corinthians 5:20) but to become fruit-bearing disciples (John 15:8) and charged with making disciples (Matthew 28:19). To objectively (from 30,000 feet) examine how we got to our current place in life will help us see how to better engage to our immediate and remote future commitment to Christ Jesus.
