Sunday Hand Out Information 07-26-20

Speaker: Jeff Hill

Lesson: “Promise Keeping and Order Making”

Scripture: Joshua 3:9-17

This week

Milwaukee now requires masks to be worn in all public indoor locations and outdoors when within six feet or others (with limited medical and age exemptions).  We have a Sunday morning worship with limited time spent in the building, in accordance with the requirements of the city of Milwaukee.  This is temporary. Please use hand sanitizer and pick up communion items when you enter through the front doors on Grange Ave.  Families are to be spaced apart and physical contact is discouraged.  Singing is recorded only (hum along if you wish).  No shared or passed materials, no classes and no evening worship.  Feel free to visit outside the building after worship.  Of course, if you are ill or have had recent contact with someone who is ill, please stay home.

Bible classes and sermons can be found on-line at

We also have our services and classes are available on DVD for those who do not have Internet access.  We have portable, self-contained, DVD Player and Screen units available.  To utilize this resource, contact Scot Cerka (630-631-4618 or srcerka@wi.rr.com) or Kevin Morrill (402-710-9255 or southside.d.f.l.m@gmail.com).

In order to allow a live-stream of our worship, please do NOT connect any devices to the church Wi-Fi until the worship period is completely over.  Airplane mode for devices is recommended.  Our Internet bandwidth is limited and needs a clear path for live-stream.

Events

Hampton Ave’s Ladies Seminar, so far, is still being planned for Saturday, September 12, 2020.

Men of Southside are invited to join Hampton Ave’s men for their Annual Men’s Retreat, which is still being planned for Friday and Saturday, September 18-20.  Registration and money is due by August 16, 2020.  Contact Bro. Stevens for details at 414-699-5842

Color More Worry Less” meets on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.  Color prayer cards for the caring ministry or bring your own book and enjoy the fellowship.  Please see Christine Saunders for details.

A group outing to the Fireside Theater is planned for Saturday December 12 to see a matinee performance of Holiday Inn and have a nice meal.  Please contact Sandie Copass if you would like to attend.  We have to PLAN NOW!

Opportunities

Southside will host the next American Red Cross Blood Drive on Friday July 31. Future blood drives are also planned for Wednesday September 30, and Friday December 4. To make a reservation, go to the following web site and filter on zip code 53221 (church building zip code)
https://www.redcrossblood.org/give.html/find-drive
to schedule a specific time, or call 800-733-2767.

A few more people to take turns sanitizing the building after services would help reduce the work load for all.

WCYC has a camp fundraiser on their Facebook page involving card and banner making crafts.  Linda Stanger and Allison Morrill are coordinating this locally including a group at the building on Saturday August 8 starting at 12:30 p.m. (please bring a mask).  If you wish to join in at the building or with an order, please fill out the registration area and send it to Linda ASAP.  Supplies are limited.

WCYC Strong T-Shirts are available in several sizes to purchase.  Please contact April Alexander for pricing and ordering details.

A phone call is a wonderfully personal way to connect with someone. The longer we are kept physically separated the more a friendly voice on the phone is appreciated.
