Scripture: I Peter 3:13-17
Speaker: Patrick Bowman
In this passage, Peter urges believers to continue doing good, even IF suffering is the result. Suffering cannot penetrate deeply enough to remove the hope that we have; along with that comes the opportunity to bear witness to unbelievers, many of whom are hopeless because of the pandemic. Note the “IF”: we can face unexpected times like this because we are certain of what God has done to us, what he is doing, and what he will do. God will bring good out of this situation (He already has) and we can be a part of that, to His glory, even if it means passing through the flames.
“Do not fear what they fear, and do not be intimidated, but in your hearts sanctify Christ as Lord. Always be ready to make your defense to anyone who demands from you an accounting for the hope that is in you.”
