The Root and Fruit of Assurance – 02/09/20

Have you ever doubted whether you were a Christian? If so, 1 John 3:19-24 speaks to this issue, alerting Christians to outer signs indicative of inner transformation. There are, then, objective ways for us to know whether we are children of God (fruit), and knowing this gives us assurance and boldness before God, precisely because we have been born again by grace (the roots = the Spirit in us).
